I only wish that Jay Ben Markson narrated more! If you enjoyed Pestilence and War, I implore you to read Famine - you won’t regret it. Susannah Jones was absolutely amazing at bringing the characters to life, she is probably one of the best narrators I’ve listened to. Ana was an unexpectedly great heroine: funny, compassionate, strong, unapologetic and most of all unforgettable. I felt his story was more real and had a lot more layers to it. Famine is different from Pestilence and War (in both his journey and his personality).

However, with Famine I was curious about what we would discover and if he would be different from the others. I knew I would love the other two horsemen and I did. Have you ever read a book that has you hooked on the first page you can’t put it down until you’ve consumed every single word? Whenever you come across one of these books you know they are special and Famine is most definitely special. This book does have triggering content such as violence and death. This is the third book in the horseman series, it can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend you read all the books to get the best enjoyment.
